You will read: A) He would like to help the woman. B) He is too busy to help the woman. C) He wants the woman to help him type. D) The woman should help him type first. You will hear: W:Would you mind helping me move the sofa? M:Help you? (rising tone) Can you see I have my hands full with all this typing? Q:What can you infer from the man’s response?
You will read: A) It will take only two evenings to complete the computer programming. B) It won’t take one week to complete the computer programming. C) The man should spend more than one week to complete the computer programming. D) It will take no less than a week to complete the computer programming. You will hear: M:I’m going to spend two evenings on the computer programming. W:You say only two evenings? (rising tone) Dr. Smith said it should be at least a week. Q:What does the woman mean?
The boy can’t drive, can he? (falling tone) ——The speaker doesn’t think that the boy can drive. Barbara won’t join us for the picnic, will she? (rising tone) ——The speaker wants to know if Barbara will join them for the picnic.
