Are you looking for anything in particular? WHENEVER you enter a store, there's always a shop assistant asking questions like "May I help you?" or "Are you looking for something (in particular)?" How do you answer in a polite and accurate way? Check the following expressions. 1. I'm just browsing/looking. This is a polite way to tell the assistant, "I don't need any help right now. Let me have a look at the products first." 2. Where is the fitting room? We say "try on a coat"; the place where we try it on is a "fitting room", not "trying room". 3. Could you help me choose a party dress? Also "pick out a dress". 4. I don't think this one will fit me. Or "It's not my size." Some stores have a sign saying "alterations". This means it has tailors who can change the size of clothing for customers. 5. I'd like to check out. Another way of saying this: "Could you please ring that up?" "Ring sth. up" means "将款项计入现金出纳机".
