What to do with my time?
IT’S summer. Holiday time. Exams are over. Boys and girls are finally free from the burden. Some, however, are finding the hot summer holiday just a bit too long. 1. So, what are you doing to relax during summer vacation? 你暑假都玩些什么? Or we can say: How are you going to relax this holiday? 2. Unfortunately, I’m up to my ears in training courses. 惨啊,我暑期上培训课忙死了。 To be “up to one’s ears in sth.” means “completely busy with sth”. Some students can’t rest even during summer holiday. But cheer up, your efforts will pay off in the end. 3. I’m so fed up with watching TV these days. 我现在烦死看电视了。 Right, while you were immersed in your studies, you wanted nothing more than some time in front of the tube. But, after several days of the stuff, you’re fed up, bored to death and can’t bear it any more. 4. I’ve been racking my brains to think of some way to kill time. 我绞尽脑汁想找点事情消磨时间 Also: I’ve got so much time on my hands I don’t know what to do. Other ways to deal with extra time (消磨时间) - while away the time - dawdle away the time - use up extra time - mess/fool around (with sth.) - shoot the breeze
