Teaching Plan For Unit7 Lesson1
Objectives : 1) Help the students learn the words of clothing
2) Help students use the sentence “How much…?” to ask about prices.
Difficult Points : How to ask about prices
Teaching Procedures:
I. Pre-task
1. At the beginning of the lesson teacher sticks fours pictures on the Bb and then give each group a piece of paper.
2. Each group reads the paper individually and chooses one student to come to the Bb and put the clothes on the people correspondingly.
3. The group that put the clothes in the correct position will get the money the clothes worth.
4. Ask the students to read after.
II. During-task
1. Memory game: Teacher shows a piece of shopping list and then give students 20 seconds to remember the prices of the clothes.
2. Cover the list and ask questions.
3. Students who answer correctly will win $2 correspondently to their group.
4. Listen to the tape of 2a once and answer teacher's questions. If the answer is correct he will earn $2 for each question for his group.
5. Small summary for the preparation for the coming games.
6. Buying things: Teacher sets up a store where has a lot of clothes. Students could use the money they earn before to buy the clothes they like. At the back of each clothes there is some money for awarding.
7. Making sentences: Teacher prepares several pictures with prices on them. Each group is given 40 seconds to make as many sentences as they can. The group will earn $1 for each correct sentence.
III. Post-task
Since each group has earn some money in the previous games. Now they can spend their money to buy the clothes in another store. Teacher chooses one volunteer to be the owner of the store. The group that first makes up the whole clothing which had better includes hat, upper outer, pants or shorts, socks, shoes and bag will earn $10.
IV. Homework
1. Design a set of clothes you like and make a small introduction. |
