Teaching Plan For Unit 7 Lesson1 No.2 Middle School:Huang Jingjia 1. Teaching material analysis: A.Teaching role and the position: This unit ,students talk about prices.And go on talking about the hobby,it’s relative to the last unit and the foundation of next unit. This lesson is the first lesson of unit 7,so it’s very important to introduce the words about clothes and the sentences about asking about prices. B.Teaching goal: (According to the requirement of teaching outline, the role and the located position in teaching material,and the national conditions of our country.) Knowledge goal: 1)Help the students learn the words of clothes.2)Help students use the sentence “How much…?” to ask about prices. Ability goal: Improve the students’ ability of hearing, saying, reading, writing and self-study. Emotion goal: Use polite words to buy and discuss the goods. C.Teaching important points and difficult points: 1) New words:T-shirt,sweater,shirt,socks,pants,shorts… The odd number and plural number. 2) How to ask about prices. 3) The words about colors. 2. Teaching method: Direct method, communicative method, performance method, situation approach, 3. Learning method: Perception, experience practice , participation and cooperation The feature of the students in Grade 1 is that they are curious but worried and shy.They are interested in English,but afraid of the mistake.As a new subject,they hope to learn well and mind the appraisement of other person.So I think it is very important to encourage them to think and solve the question in the right way. 4. Teaching aids: Objects,CAI multimedia, dummy money 5. Teaching Procedures: Teaching preparation: Divide the students into 6 groups,tell them: “In this class,if you hand up and answer the questions, your group can get dummy money, you can use the money to join the game, at last, which group has the most money, they are winners.” (Use the way, students can be curious and active.Groupwork can improve their cooperative ability.) Step1: Lead-in Revise colors.Use the CAI multimedia to show the colors we learned.Revise sentences “what color is it? It’s…” Students hands up and answer.If he/she is right,he /she can get the dummy money. Step2: Presentation 1. Use the CAI multimedia to show the pictures of clothes.Ask:“What’s this in English?/What’re these in English?” “What color is it?/ What color are they?” Students answer: “It’s…/They’re …” Read the words again and again. Teacher correct the pronunciation. 2. Then teach “How much is this hat? It's..../ How much are these shorts?” Using Liyang's way. (The CAI multimedia are very interesting and ,it can attract students’ attention.Let them like to learn.Well then, they would like to listen and speak ,and can apperceive the goal language directly.So the teaching purpose can be achieved.) Step3: Practice 1. Work in pairs,in row,in group,and Boys ask,Girls answer. 2. Listen: 1b on page 37. (Use many kinds of ways to practice,which aroused the activity of students,it train the ability that students use English. ) Step4: Game: buying things: Teacher sets up a store where has a lot of clothes. Students could use the money they earn before to buy the clothes they like. At the back of each clothes there is some money for awarding. (Game and practice combine to a whole.Students use the objects and dummy money to perform to buy and sale.They learn in the game.That arouse student maximumly to study interest , at the same time, strengthened the knowledge that student studies.) Step5: Conclusion The group of the most money is winner.Teacher praises the winner and encourages other groups.Give students the checkpoints in the lesson. Step6: Homework Design a set of clothes and make a description of it. 6. blackboard design: Unit7 SectionA colors: white, black, red, green, blue, yellow How much is your T-shirt? It’s 7 dollars. How much are these socks? They’re 2 dollars. 7. Self check: It is purpose to improve education for all-around development.It Combins teaching important points ,difficult points and English subject characteristic. With CAI multimedia’s help, students get exercise in view and hear, say etc. aspect. In the happy, relaxed atmosphere they review old knowledge , learn new knowledge and have the ability of using English.
